So, you have a business and you want to grow it.
Well, you’re in the right place!
By popular request, (and in no particular order) here are 4 books that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to grow their business.
1. “Cadence” by Pete Williams (A tale of fast business growth)
Cadence is one of my all-time favorite books, and probably the easiest 10/10 score that I’ve ever given!
The book focuses on seven areas that you should concentrate on to help drive growth in your business. These areas are suitable for almost any business type, and the steps are extremely actionable and easy to implement.
Surprisingly, this isn’t a very big book, so it’s not a massive time commitment to read it. The book is also written as a story, making it a much more entertaining read.
2. “Oversubscribed” by Daniel Priestly
This book teaches you to do exactly what the title suggests – to be oversubscribed. In other words, how to have so many people lining up to do business with you, that you just can’t accommodate them all!
In order to do that, the book shows you how to create your own ecosystem that allows you to operate in a market of one, which enables you to create your own dedicated following, and, therefore, be able to generate more business demand that what you are able to fulfill.
3. “Scale Up Millionaire” by Gordon McAlpine (How to sell your way to a fast growth, high-value enterprise)
This book is aimed at businesses that have physical sales teams. You could be a member of a sales team, be a sales team manager, or have a business that’s dependent on individuals signing up new customers.
Scale-Up Millionaire teaches you a “six-step scale-up sales process” which includes; your proposition, your passion, your pipeline, your people, your performance, and your precision.
I highly recommend this book to anyone whose business/career revolved around face-to-face selling.
4. “80/20 Sales and Marketing” by Perry Marshall (The definitive guide to working less and making more)
You’re probably already familiar with the 80/20 principle, which says that 80 percent of your results come from 20 percent of your effort.
In this book, the author applies that principle to sales and marketing. So, 80 percent of your sales come from 20 percent of your marketing. This book helps you to find that 20 percent and go all in to help boost your sales.
This book is ideal for those that market or sell products online, those that have websites, etc. because everything needs to be trackable at each stage of the sale in order to find your highest performing 20 percent.
I personally got a lot of value from this book and have implement parts of it with some good success.
